Summary:
This will create a cross-platform and safe way to programmatically open the app's settings into the iOS /Android Settings app.
Right now it's possible to open the app's settings, but _**only for iOS**_ via `Linking.openURL("app-settings:")`
To do the same for Android, you need to either create NodeModule or install a dependency such as [react-native-open-settings](https://github.com/lunarmayor/react-native-open-settings).
Why this new method is useful: since Android 6, app permissions work similar to iOS. It's granular and it's requested in the app runtime.
https://developer.android.com/guide/topics/permissions/overview#runtime_requests_android_60_and_higher
> If the device is running Android 6.0 (API level 23) or higher, and the app's targetSdkVersion is 23 or higher, the user isn't notified of any app permissions at install time. Your app must ask the user to grant the dangerous permissions at runtime. When your app requests permission, the user sees a system dialog telling the user which permission group your app is trying to access. The dialog includes a Deny and Allow button.
Thus, if the user checks the **"Never ask again box"** and taps **"Deny"**, for some specific permission, the only way to change the permission is going to the Android Setting app.
And that's where this new method becomes useful. It'll allow our apps to programmatically send the the user to settings app.
Also, `openSettings()` doesn't receive a parameter to redirect to specific subsections of the Settings app because there's no public API to do it on iOS ([there's a way to have, via private API, but it causes the app to get rejected.](https://github.com/mauron85/cordova-plugin-background-geolocation/issues/394))
Create `Linking.openSettings()` for iOS and Android;

This PRs makes an attempt at fixing the set up of the Android end to end tests, and the tests themselves. The end goal is to re-enable the tests on CircleCI (see #23561 for more details).
The goal of this PR is to the end to end tests to a working state. Better tests can be added at a later point.
I changed the tests using the menu button. These tests made something silently crash/hang, after which it was no longer possible to get an element or even get the source. A fix for this needs further investigation.
Also, I enabled the tests in the CircleCI config, however CircleCI is currently failing on them with the following error:
```
info Running /opt/android/platform-tools/adb -s emulator-5554 reverse tcp:8081 tcp:8081
error: closed
info Could not run adb reverse: Command failed: /opt/android/platform-tools/adb -s emulator-5554 reverse tcp:8081 tcp:8081
Some help here would be appreciated. An alternative is to not enable the tests yet on CircleCI in this PR.
This is the couple of hacks I used after I finished #23802 in order to get fabric working on RNTester. This is inspired from prior work by kmagiera.
The goal of this PR is to show others what I’m struggling with, and to eventually merge it sans hacks.
- Yarn Install
- Uncomment the commented out pods in RNTester's pod file
- Open RNTesterPods workspace
- Run App
- this is only for pods, the non-pod RNTester will no longer work until updated with fabric too.
- `SurfaceHostingView` & `SurfaceHostingProxyRootView` both try to start the surface immediately, this leads to a race condition due to the javascript not having loaded yet, the hack here is:
1. Swizzle the `start` method on `RCTFabricSurface` to no-op when called.
2. Add observer for `RCTJavaScriptDidLoadNotification`
3. Call private method `_startAllSurfaces` on `_surfacePresenter` in AppDelegate when we receive `RCTJavaScriptDidLoadNotification`.
I ran into a build error when `xcodebuild` would invoke a custom script (in my case `sentry-cli`):
```
error: Could not parse Info.plist file
caused by: invalid data
```
Upon further investigation it turned out the parse error was **caused by a comment**, and I found some other oddities with the default `Info.plist` template files:
- The problematic comment is a **dead link** (website does not exist)
- The main Info.plist contains a **duplicate entry** for `NSLocationWhenInUseUsageDescription`
- Some entries are _reordered_ and the comment is removed when modifying/saving the file in Xcode
This PR fixes these inconsistencies, unnecessary customizations, and potential sources of errors.
D14323747 broke SSTs. This PR optimized implementation of nativeID. Instead of searching entire tree to find a view, it uses a map to cache views which have nativeID set. The map uses keys with format <nativeID-rootViewTag>. Finding the rootViewTag causes a race condition, due to [this syncing code](https://fburl.com/93vqzlbg). The SST runner attempts to read the map to find a [SST view](https://fburl.com/8zadz024) before that view is added to the map.
My fix is to change the key format to simply <nativeID>. Product code should not duplicate nativeID since it is used to uniquely identify react managed views from native. I'll comment on PR with this fix.
Accidentally I noticed that the signature of Folly's hash_combine is different from boost's one.
The Folly's one is:
`size_t hash_combine(const T& t, const Ts&... ts)`, so the first argument is immutable and the method returns the result normally.
It means that all hashes that we compute in Fabric using `hash_combine` were `0`.
So I fixed it.
I have no idea why this difference exists, but some modern papers suggest that folly's variant has good chances to be standardized.
E.g.: http://open-std.org/JTC1/SC22/WG21/docs/papers/2017/p0814r0.pdf
