cailenmusselmanandMartin Konicek f78ec778ce YellowBox" Only provide elevation style prop when running on Android
Summary:
For unknown reasons, setting elevation: Number.MAX_VALUE causes remote debugging to hang on iOS (some sort of overflow maybe). Setting it to Number.MAX_SAFE_INTEGER fixes the iOS issue, but since elevation is an android-only style property we might as well remove it altogether for iOS.

Spencer AhrensandHector Ramos ca099814ae preserve inline components in prop type doc gen
Summary:
Some of the operations, like `oneOf` and `arrayOf`, were doing joins on arrays of potential
tags, like `<span>` or `<a>`, which would stringify them to `[object Object]`.

This introduces a new `spanJoinMapper` which suppresses the trailing separator like `join` but wraps
elements in `<span>` rather than `concat`ing into a string.

Summary:
The showcase is displayed in the homepage as well as in a standalone showcase page. The source data for these two pages is embedded in each page, resulting in repetition of data across both.

We migrated everyone on Product Pains over to our new service, Canny. We also moved every product's feedback to a product-specific subdomain (eg. https://react-native.canny.io/feature-requests).

This PR updates every Product Pains URL over to its new Canny version.

Changes only affect docs, blog posts, and bot responses - not the React Native library itself.

Hector Ramos de8ec5afd9 Update Getting Started instructions.
Summary:
I am starting fresh on a new Mac and took another stab at the instructions.

- Java SDK 7 seems to work just fine.
- Adjusted Custom Android Studio installation instructions to use bare minimum required.
- Updated AVD configuration instructions with necessary changes to run AVD the first time.
- Added note on using real devices.
- Removed notes warning against use of API Level 23, these do not belong on a Getting Started guide.
- Added step to install Xcode Command Line Tools.
- Use `.profile` over `.bashrc` as the latter is shell-specific and is not loaded on login shells (e.g. new Terminal windows). `.profile` will work on bash, however, which is the default macOS shell.
- Added screenshots.

Went through steps for setting up RN for iOS as well as Android on a new Mac. Ended with apps running on the iOS Simulator and a AVD.

Generated website and verified instructions rendered correctly for each of the OS/device permutations.

* Adds required header search paths for the jschelpers and cxxreact subspecs.
* Makes the jschelpers and cxxreact headers private to building React Native, not visible to the user’s project.
* It uses the canonical upstream Yoga v1.0.0 podspec: https://github.com/facebook/yoga/blob/master/Yoga.podspec
* Consistent styling.

I have been able to get our app to build again using this https://github.com/artsy/emission/pull/437. The spec has some warnings, but otherwise fully passes lint.

Martin Konicek 3a6dff4f4f CLI: Add support for project templates
Summary:
Currently it is not trivial for people to get started with React Native. `react-native init MyApp` just creates a simple app with a single screen. People have to spend time figuring out how to add more screens, or how to accomplish very basic tasks such as rendering a list of data or handling text input.

Let's add an option: `react-native init --template navigation` - this creates a "starter" app which can be easily tweaked into the actual app the person wants to build.

**Test plan (required)**

Janic DuplessisandFacebook Github Bot 0ed31eb3d6 BREAKING - Improve JS transform validation, add tests
Summary:
This improves JS validations of the transform object and makes it a bit stricter (hence the breaking change). When moving transform objects parsing to native (#10658) the validations got out of sync a bit, this makes sure JS validations are the same or stricter than the native ones to make sure we get consistent errors across platforms.

See #12110 for an example of an error that now gets caught by JS validations.

Also added snapshot tests for the errors to make sure `processTransform` throws when passing invalid values. It only tests the validation since the object parsing is now done natively for iOS and Android.

**Test plan**
Test that there are no errors in UIExplorer
Run new unit tests

Christoph PojerandFacebook Github Bot a2c84d14ce Remove react-packager indirection.
Summary:
This moves the `src` directory one level up and removes the `react-packager` folder. Personally, I always disliked this indirection. I'm reorganizing some things in RNP, so this seems to make sense.

Not sure if I forgot to update any paths. Can anyone advice if there are more places that need change?
