dhdfu 8ba9bc7f19 Finally refactor (actually, rewrite) sphinx_fe to be less horrible. 
Now autodetects file types to some extent, will support more types via
libsndfile in the near future.

dhdfu 4553102230 More serious front-end surgery: 
Make fe_process_utt() allocate a LOT less memory, and sanitize the
internal APIs a bit further.

Add a declaration for what will become the new recommended function
for processing cepstra.  It doesn't allocate any memory at all.

Remove other brain damage here and there.

The new code processes the last frame a bit differently.  I believe
that it's actually correct and the old code was wrong.  In any case
the difference is quite small.

dhdfu 1a899aca78 Hopefully the final DCT-related change. Now, there is an option 
-transform, which determines whether to use the "legacy" transform
(this is the default) or the orthogonal DCT-II to compute MFCCs.
Instead of having -dct2 and -dct3 options to do logspec<->cepstrum
conversion there are more sensibly named -spec2cep and -cep2spec
options.  All tests pass and there is no difference in the output with
the default flags.

dhdfu ccb45d8a02 A bunch of minor changes to the front-end. The old-fashioned MFCC is 
not affected and continues to do as it always did albeit with a tiny
bit more accuracy and speed on fixed-point platforms.  The question of
exactly which DCT is being used for what has been resolved with some
comments to that effect in the header.

The misnamed and misfunctional -idct and -dct options to sphinx_fe
have been removed and replaced with -dct2 and -dct3, which do the
canonical (and invertible) DCT-II and DCT-III.  An option -smoothspec
has been added to output the cepstral-smoothed log spectrum.

Some tests have been added for these new features.
