Use CotEditor settings to adjust document handling and the editor’s appearance and behavior to fit the way you work.
Go to the CotEditor app
on your Mac.
Choose CotEditor > Settings, then click a settings pane:
General: Choose how documents open and save, and adjust other basic behaviors.
Appearance: Set how documents appear, including fonts, line height, and colors.
Window: Control how document windows look and behave.
Edit: Choose how the editor behaves while editing.
Mode: Choose how the editor behaves for different kinds of documents.
Format: Set document options such as line endings and text encoding, and manage syntaxes.
Snippets: Define text snippets that you can insert with a shortcut or by dropping a file onto the editor.
Key Bindings: Change keyboard shortcuts for menu commands.
Donation: Support the CotEditor project with a coffee donation.
