Diego Pasquali 7b05b091fd Integrated iOS-only accessibilityLanguage prop (#33090)
Summary:
This PR fixes https://github.com/facebook/react-native/issues/30891

This PR is going to add an `accessibilityLanguage` prop to all the available components. This props is currently working only on iOS and should follow the [guidelines of the relative configuration](https://developer.apple.com/documentation/objectivec/nsobject/1615192-accessibilitylanguage).

I'm in no way an expert on native programming (especially Objective-C) so I'm open to changes / improvements 🙂

## Changelog

<!-- Help reviewers and the release process by writing your own changelog entry. For an example, see:
https://github.com/facebook/react-native/wiki/Changelog
-->

[iOS] [Added] - Integrated the `accessibilityLanguage` prop to all the available components. The prop is available for any platform but it will work only on iOS.

Pull Request resolved: https://github.com/facebook/react-native/pull/33090

Test Plan:
This has been tested using both the Simulator, checking for the `Language` attribute, and using a physical device with the Voice Over enabled.

Marc Mulcahy 7df3eea1a7 Add accessibilityValueDescription support. (#26169)
Summary:
React Native components need a mechanism to specify their value to assistive technologies. This PR adds the notion of accessibilityValueDescription-- a property which either contains a textual description of a component's value, or for range-based components, such as sliders and progress bars, it contains range information (minimum, current, and maximum).

On iOS, the range-based info if present is converted into a percentage and added to the accessibilityValue property of the UIView. If text is present as part of the accessibilityValueDescription, it is used instead of the range-based information.

On Android, any range-based information in accessibilityValueDescription is exposed in the AccessibilityNodeInfo's RangeInfo. Text which is part of accessibilityValueDescription is appended to the content description.

## Changelog

[GENERAL] [Change] - add accessibilityValuedescription property.
Pull Request resolved: https://github.com/facebook/react-native/pull/26169

Test Plan: Added two new accessibility examples to RNTester, one which uses text and another which uses range-based info in accessibilityValueDescription. Verified that they both behave correctly on both Android and iOS.

Marc Mulcahy 099be9b356 New Accessibility states API. (#24608)
Summary:
As currently defined, accessibilityStates is an array of strings, which represents the state of an object. The array of strings notion doesn't well encapsulate how various states are related, nor enforce any level of correctness.

This PR converts accessibilityStates to an object with a specific definition. So, rather than:

<View
...
accessibilityStates={['unchecked']}>

We have:

<View
accessibilityStates={{'checked': false}}>

And specifically define the checked state to either take a boolean or the "mixed" string (to represent mixed checkboxes).

We feel this API is easier to understand an implement, and provides better semantic definition of the states themselves, and how states are related to one another.

James Ide 0ee5f68929 Migrate "Libraries" from Haste to standard path-based requires (sans vendor & renderers) (#24749)
Summary:
This is the next step in moving RN towards standard path-based requires. All the requires in `Libraries` have been rewritten to use relative requires with a few exceptions, namely, `vendor` and `Renderer/oss` since those need to be changed upstream. This commit uses relative requires instead of `react-native/...` so that if Facebook were to stop syncing out certain folders and therefore remove code from the react-native package, internal code at Facebook would not need to change.

See the umbrella issue at https://github.com/facebook/react-native/issues/24316 for more detail.

Estevão Lucas f70e58f355 - remove accessibilityComponentType and accessibilityTraits props (a11y) (#24344)
Summary:
Closes: https://github.com/facebook/react-native/issues/24016

React Native 0.57 introduced cross-platform `accessibilityRole` and `accessibilityStates` props in order to replace `accessibilityComponentType` (for android) and `accessibilityTraits` (for iOS). With #24095 `accessibilityRole` and `accessibilityStates` will increase, receiving more options, which seems to be a good moment to remove deprecated props.

Remove deprecated `accessibilityComponentType` and `accessibilityTraits` props.

Mats Byrkeland 253b29dbd8 Add accessibilityHint for iOS (#18093)
Summary:
This adds the accessibilityHint for View, Text and Touchable* on iOS.
The accessibilityHint provides some more information about an element
when the accessibilityLabel is not enough.

The accessibilityHint is a core accessibility property on iOS.

From https://developer.apple.com/documentation/objectivec/nsobject/1615093-accessibilityhint:
> An accessibility hint helps users understand what will happen when they perform an action on the accessibility element when that result is not obvious from the accessibility label.

Related issue: https://github.com/facebook/react-native/issues/14706

The npm scripts `test`, `flow`, `lint` and `prettier` are satisfied.

I added a couple of examples to the RNTester app. The Accessibility Inspector on Mac helps debugging accessibility stuff on a simulator, but it does not show the accessibilityHint. Therefore I tested the RNTester app on an iPhone 8 device using VoiceOver to verify the hint functionality. It works fine, and I've tested disabling and enabling "read hints" in the VoiceOver settings on the phone.

Previously, I added accessibilityRole and accessibilityStates as View Properties.

In this diff, I added accessibilityRole and accessibilityStates to ReactNativeViewAttributes.UIView, which is used for viewconfig in some components.

The NativeMethodsMixing uses the set view config when invoking `setNativeProps`, and it's used to make those components look like an actual native component class.

Rubén Norte d5e9e55fa3 Remove @providesModule from all modules
Summary:
This PR removes the need for having the `providesModule` tags in all the modules in the repository.

It configures Flow, Jest and Metro to get the module names from the filenames (`Libraries/Animated/src/nodes/AnimatedInterpolation.js` => `AnimatedInterpolation`)

* Checked the Flow configuration by running flow on the project root (no errors):

```
yarn flow
```

* Checked the Jest configuration by running the tests with a clean cache:

```
yarn jest --clearCache && yarn test
```

* Checked the Metro configuration by starting the server with a clean cache and requesting some bundles:

```
yarn run start --reset-cache
curl 'localhost:8081/IntegrationTests/AccessibilityManagerTest.bundle?platform=android'
curl 'localhost:8081/Libraries/Alert/Alert.bundle?platform=ios'
```

Eric Davison 36ad813899 Adding support for custom accessibility actions on iOS.
Summary:
This feature has been requested by customers. Our previous (pre-react) application had support for custom accessibility actions.

This feature allows UI elements to provide a list of custom actions that can be read when VoiceOver is enabled. UI elements expose one accessibility action by default. Some UI elements may support multiple actions though other mechanisms like tap and hold. To expose these actions in an accessible way iOS provides custom accessibility actions.

Feature was tested in the iOS simulator using the Accessibility Inspector. Custom actions were added to a button and observed in the tool. Custom actions were also invoked using the tool and then stepped through in the debugger.

The feature was also tested on an iPhone. VoiceOver was enabled on the device and custom actions were observed for controls that exposed them.

We have been using this feature in our app for some time as well.

Sebastian Markbage 8e3ce0ff98 Refactor Attribute Processing (Step 2)
Summary: Move the ViewAttributes and StyleAttributes configuration into the
Components library since they're coupled and change with the
native component configuration.

This also decouples StyleAttributes from the reconciler by adding it
to the ReactViewAttributes.

To do that, I refactored the property diffing to allow for recursive
configurations. Now an attribute configuration can be a nested object,
a custom configuration (diff/process) or true.

The requireNativeComponent path incorrectly gets its attributes set up
on the root validAttributes instead of the nested style object.
So I also have to add the nested form. Effectively these currently allow
these attributes on props or nested.
