Satyajit SahooandDmitry Rykun f0ffd2291c feat: support custom library paths in react-native.config.js for codegen on iOS (#34580)
Summary:
Currently for codegen to work for a library on iOS, it needs to be located
inside `node_modules`. This patch adds support for libraries defined in
`react-native.config.js`.

This is useful when developing libraries as well as monorepos where the library
may exist outside of the `node_modules`.

Example:

```js
// react-native.config.js
const path = require('path');
module.exports = {
  dependencies: {
    'react-native-library-name': {
      root: path.join(__dirname, '..'),
    },
  },
};
```

## Changelog

[Internal] [Added] - Support custom library paths in `react-native.config.js` for codegen on iOS

Pull Request resolved: https://github.com/facebook/react-native/pull/34580

Test Plan:
Tested on a test application and ensured that codegen finds the library specified in `react-native.config.js`

Kudo ChienandDmitry Rykun ad582f5e8a add debugging settings (#34489)
Summary:
For brownfield apps, it is possible to have multiple hermes runtimes serving different JS bundles. Hermes inspector currently only supports single JS bundle. The latest loaded JS bundle will overwrite previous JS bundle. This is because we always use the ["Hermes React Native" as the inspector page name](https://github.com/facebook/react-native/blob/de75a7a22eebbe6b7106377bdd697a2d779b91b0/ReactCommon/hermes/executor/HermesExecutorFactory.cpp#L157) and [the latest page name will overwrite previous one](https://github.com/facebook/react-native/blob/de75a7a22eebbe6b7106377bdd697a2d779b91b0/ReactCommon/hermes/inspector/chrome/ConnectionDemux.cpp#L77-L86).

This PR adds more customization for HermesExecutorFactory:
- `setEnableDebugger`: provide a way to disable debugging features for the hermes runtime
- `setDebuggerName`: provide a way to customize inspector page name other than the default "Hermes React Native"

[General] [Added] - Add more debugging settings for *HermesExecutorFactory*

Test Plan:
Verify the features by RNTester.

Gabriel Donadel Dall'AgnolandDmitry Rykun ec0049b008 fix: KeyboardAvoidingView height when "Prefer Cross-Fade Transitions" is enabled (#34503)
Summary:
Fix `KeyboardAvoidingView` height on iOS when "Prefer Cross-Fade Transitions" is enabled by adding an additional check to `_relativeKeyboardHeight` verifying if `prefersCrossFadeTransitions()` is true and `keyboardFrame.screenY` is `0` and treating this special case. The issue was caused by the native RCTKeyboardObserver where the `endFrame` reported by `UIKeyboardWillChangeFrameNotification` returns `height = 0` when Prefer Cross-Fade Transitions" is enabled
and unfortunelly there isn't much we can do on the native side to fix it.

Rasmus EnemanandDmitry Rykun 047a149279 fix: Crash if WebView is disabled (#34483)
Summary:
When the webview is updated by play store, all apps that has loaded webview gets killed. For background see https://issuetracker.google.com/issues/228611949?pli=1

We have a long-running app and don't want this to happen and while we are not using webview anywhere, we are using websockets that loads it for reading cookies, however we are not using cookies to authenticate the websocket and thus want to disable the webview to avoid loading it unnecessarily and then getting killed unnecessarily.

The webview has support for beeing disabled https://developer.android.com/reference/android/webkit/WebView#disableWebView() however as-is this crashes React Native. It seems to me like this case is very similar to not having web view installed and should be handled in the same way.

Janic DuplessisandDmitry Rykun 2483bc089a Fix hermes profiler (#34129)
Summary:
The hermes profiler doesn't work currently, I tracked down the problem to a couple of things.

- Need to call `registerForProfiling` to enable profiling for a specific runtime. I added the call at the same place where we enable the debugger.
- `runInExecutor` didn't work and call its callback. Not sure exactly why, but using `executor_->add` like we do in a lot of other places to run code on the executor works.
- `GetHeapUsageRequest` seems to cause some deadlocks. JS contexts were not detected reliably, I suspect this is related to deadlocks when trying to run on inspector executor. `GetHeapUsageRequest` doesn't actually need any data from the inspector so there is no need to run it on that queue. To fix it I moved the call to use `runInExecutor` instead.

Evan CharltonandDmitry Rykun 98e5134a4f fix: Correctly resolve classes with FindClass(..) (#34533)
Summary:
`JNIEnv`'s `FindClass(..)` function takes the classes in the standard
`foo/bar/Baz` class specification (unless they're special, like arrays).
Specifying them with `Lfoo/bar/Baz;` results in a
`ClassNotFoundException` being raised -- which is especially unhelpful
when intending to re-throw an exception.

The docs for `JNIEnv#FindClass(..)` can be found [here][jnienv].

Riccardo CipolleschiandLorenzo Sciandra c666fda92c Silence deprecation warning for react-native dependency. (#34368)
Summary:
Pull Request resolved: https://github.com/facebook/react-native/pull/34368

When a user runs `RCT_NEW_ARCH_ENABLED=1 pod install` to install the dependencies for the New Architecture, Cocoapods prints a warning because of React Native is still set up with a legacy configuration.

This diff silences these warnings because they can confuse the final user.

**Note:** We need to keep this legacy configuration to support both the legacy and the New Architecture.

Muhammad Hur AliandLorenzo Sciandra 33ddb001d8 fix: react android kotlin plugin version conflict (#34255)
Summary:
Fixes https://github.com/facebook/react-native/issues/34229

Basically, the react android conflicts with the kotlin version that's defined in the top level build.gradle. To resolve it, the approach was to get the `kotlinVersion` defined in top level build.gradle and use it. If it's not defined, we use the default(1.6.10 as of now).

The reason behind not using the DSL is that it doesn't allow us to use the variables due to it's constrained syntax.
See [here](https://docs.gradle.org/current/userguide/plugins.html#sec:constrained_syntax)

So the idea was to use the build script to resolve the kotlin plugin and it works 👍 .

Kindly asking for review cortinico :)

JoseLionandLorenzo Sciandra a0ae1fb525 fix(android): Append .exe to hermesc binary path for Windows users (#34151)
Summary:
Resolves https://github.com/facebook/react-native/issues/34116.

In a nutshell, the problem was a missing `.exe` extension on the `hermesc` binary path when running on Windows OS. The missing extension causes the method `.exists()` of the File instance to always return false, so none of the conditions ever met and an error was thrown whenever a release build with Hermes enabled was run on Windows. [Android] [Fixed] - Fix error of release builds with Hermes enabled for Windows users

Pull Request resolved: https://github.com/facebook/react-native/pull/34151

Test Plan:
### Reproduce

Changes on Gradle scrips are better tested on an actual application. To reproduce the issue you can:
1. Create or reuse a React Native application with version `v0.69.1` on a Windows machine
2. Enable Hermes on Android following the steps on the [documentation](https://reactnative.dev/docs/hermes#enabling-hermes)
3. Clean the build folder: `cd android && ./gradlew clean`
4. Bundle the JS and assets for a release version: `./gradlew bundleReleaseJsAndAssets`
5. The build fails with the following error:
```shell
Execution failed for task ':app:bundleReleaseJsAndAssets'.
> java.lang.Exception: Couldn't determine Hermesc location. Please set `project.ext.react.hermesCommand` to the path of the hermesc binary file. node_modules/react-native/sdks/hermesc/%OS-BIN%/hermesc
```

### Test the changes

Follow the same steps above using the fix on this PR and the error should disappear 🙂

Oskar KwaśniewskiandLorenzo Sciandra 6450bc6166 Fix accessibilityState overwriting view's disabled state on Android (#34287)
Summary:
While I was working on rewriting `react-native-slider` to Fabric I found a weird bug that prevented the slider to be set as disabled (to be exact: call the method `slider.setEnabled(false)`. As it turned out the `accessibilityState` (with value: `accessibilityState={{disabled: true}}` prop occurred after the `enabled={false}` prop that I was passing to the slider, which lead to both of this props overwrite each other.

Handling of `accessibilityState` props inside view leads to always overwriting the enabled prop to true (even if we explicitly set it to `{disabled: false}`.

Workaround for this was to reorder the props, so that the `accesibilityState` occur before `disabled`, but I think it's better to not set `view.setEnabled(true)` if we are passing a disabled property.

Summary:
The `codegenConfig` unified configuration for New Architecture on Android relies on the Gradle plugin finding the package.json correctly. Currently we use the `root` folder to resolve the package.json. This works fine when invoking the codegen for the app module, but it doesn't work well when invoking the codegen for modules.

This extends the algo to make sure we first, look for a `package.json` in `..` and fallback to the one in the root if not found.
