Ramanpreet Nara 9263eb5d38 Part 2: Make CatalystInstanceImpl.getNativeModule Nullable
Summary:
This is the codemod portion of the parent diff.

I modified all call-sites to `ReactContext.getNativeModule` to do a null check on the returned NativeModule.

Changelog:
[Android][Fixed] - Check if NativeModules returned from CatalystInstanceImpl.getNativeModule are null before using them.

Emily Janzer 769e368889 Don't subscribe to lifecycle events in NativeAnimatedModule (for now)
Summary: Right now, animations don't work on Android in bridgeless mode because NativeAnimatedModule directly uses the UIManagerModule for various things. Previously, I added a bridgeless check to the module's `initialize()` method to avoid adding a listener on the UIManager; in this diff, I'm moving that check so that we also skip adding the lifecycle listener on the context in bridgeless mode, too. I'll remove this check once we come up with a replacement for the UIManagerModule API.

Emily Janzer 173e7835c6 Don't add UIManager listener in NativeAnimatedModule when in bridgeless mode
Summary:
NativeAnimatedModule registers itself as a listener on UIManagerModule, which doesn't exist in bridgeless mode. We now have an API on ReactContext to detect if we're in bridgeless mode, so let's just bail out when that's the case (for now).

In the future, we'll need a replacement for this API on FabricUIManager (or somewhere).

Janic Duplessis 686ab49107 Don't restore default values when components unmount (#26978)
Summary:
There are some cases where restoring default values on component unmount is not desirable. For example in react-native-screens we want to keep the native view displayed after react has unmounted them. Restoring default values causes an issue there because it will change props controlled my native animated back to their default value instead of keeping whatever value they had been animated to.

Restoring default values is only needed for updates anyway, where removing a prop controlled by native animated need to be reset to its default value since react no longer tracks its value.

This splits restoring default values and disconnecting from views in 2 separate native methods, this way we can restore default values only on component update and not on unmount. This takes care of being backwards compatible for JS running with the older native code.

## Changelog

[General] [Fixed] - NativeAnimated - Don't restore default values when components unmount
Pull Request resolved: https://github.com/facebook/react-native/pull/26978

Test Plan:
- Tested in an app using react-native-screens to make sure native views that are kept after their underlying component has been unmount don't change. Also tested in RNTester animated example.

- Tested that new JS works with old native code

Fixes a bug that happens when trying to use ScrollView with sticky headers and native `Animated.event` with `onScroll`. Made a few changes to the ListViewPaging UIExplorer example to repro https://gist.github.com/janicduplessis/17e2fcd99c6ea49ced2954d881011b09.

What happens is we need to be able to add multiple events to the same prop + viewTag pair. To do that I simple changed the data structure to `Map<prop+viewTag, List<AnimatedEventDriver>>` and try to optimize for the case where there is only one item in the list since it will be the case 99% of the time.

desmondyao 20ad2b3fbb support api 15 (use Handler-backed ui driven).
Summary:
Android API 15 still have 1.5~2.0% distribution (refer: [Dashboard - Android Developer](https://developer.android.com/ndk/guides/standalone_toolchain.html#creating_the_toolchain)).

React Native is a good tec but many companies cannot endure loose their consumer. [Choreographer](https://developer.android.com/reference/android/view/Choreographer.html) triggered UI operation is the only reason that React Native Android sdk use minSdkVersion 16, so we can use a backward solution **only in API 15**: [Handler](https://developer.android.com/reference/android/os/Handler.html).

In this PR, the biggest change is :

- Make core operation of ReactChoreographer to an interface: ReactUIDriver;
- Impl ReactUIDriver by Handler => UIDriverHandlerImpl, refactor ReactChoreographer to UIDriverChoreographerImpl;
- Let UIDriverFactory to choose which one impl would be in use. (Only use handler in api 15).

The goal of this PR is to enable the buck module `uimanager` to depend on `modules/core` without introducing any dependency cycles.

PR #11008 relies on this PR. PR #11008 needs `uimanager` to depend on `modules/core` so that `uimanager` can fire events using `RCTDeviceEventEmitter` which is in `modules/core`.

Janic Duplessis 6565929358 Add support for animated events
Summary:
This adds support for `Animated.event` driven natively. This is WIP and would like feedback on how this is implemented.

At the moment, it works by providing a mapping between a view tag, an event name, an event path and an animated value when a view has a prop with a `AnimatedEvent` object. Then we can hook into `EventDispatcher`, check for events that target our view + event name and update the animated value using the event path.

For now it works with the onScroll event but it should be generic enough to work with anything.

Krzysztof Magiera cd11738819 Support for stopping animations that run on UI thread.
Summary:This change extends animated native module API with `stopAnimation` method that is responsible for interrupting actively running animation as a reslut of a JS call. In order for the `stopAnimation` to understand `animationId` argument I also had to add `animationId` to `startAnimation` method. As JS thread runs in parallel to the thread which executes the animation there is a chance that JS may call `stopAnimation` after the animation has finished. Because of that we are not doing any checks on the `animationId` parameter passed to `stopAnimation` in native and if the animation does not exists in the registry we ignore that call.

Krzysztof Magiera 21b3180a4c Java unit tests for native animated module.
Summary:This change adds some basic unit tests for native animated traversal algorithm. The following tests are added:
1) Build simple animated nodes graph, verify that frame-based animation execute updates and when it runs out of the frames we no longer schedule updates for the native view
2) Build simple animated nodes graph and start short timing animation, verify that animation JS callback gets called.

As a part of this change I'm fixing an issue that tests allowed me to discover, where I forgot to clear updates queue at the end of `runUpdates` method. It was causing the view to be updated even if there was no active animation for it (actually it was mitigated by another bug in `hasActiveAnimations` I'm fixing here too).

I'm also adding Nullable annotation in a bunch of places. To lazy to send it as a separate change - sorry.

Going forward I'm planning on adding more tests. Currently the number of nodes is pretty limited so it's difficult to construct more complex graphs, but once I land Add/Multiply

Krzysztof Magiera 65ccdffc8d Execute Animated.js declarative animation on UIThread on Android.
Summary:This is the first from the series of PRs I'm going to be sending shorty that would let Animated.js animations to run off the JS thread (for Android only).

This PR introduce a new native module that will be used for offloading animations - NativeAnimatedModule. It has a simple API that allows for animated nodes management via methods like: create/drop animated node, connect/disconnect nodes, start animation of a value node, attach/detach animated from a native view.

Similarly to how we handle UIManager view hierarchy updates we create a queue of animated graph operations that are then executed on the UI thread. This isolates us from problems that may be caused by concurrent updates of animated graph while UI thread is "executing" the animation.

The most important class NativeAnimatedNodesManager.java implements a management interface for animated nodes graph as well as implements a graph traversal algorithm that is run for each animation frame. For each animation frame we visit animated nodes th
